The Gloucester County Historical Society contains one of the largest genealogical collections in Southern New Jersey and is the holder of official Gloucester Country documents back to the 17th century. Holdings include newspapers, unrecorded deeds and surveys, and cemetery and church records. They also host a photo collection containing thousands of original photos, slides, negatives, daguerreotypes, and tintypes. This pass also offers access to their subscription databases on Ancestry.com, Newspaper.com, GenealogyBank, and FamilySearch. This pass offers free general admission for up to 6 people and discounted admission for additional friends and family, free parking in the Museum’s gated lot, a 10% discount at the Museum Café, a 10% discount at the Squiggles Gift Shop, and free Carousel rides. Built between 1851 and 1854 by banker Joseph Shipley, Rockwood is an excellent example of Rural Gothic Revival Architecture. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. |
